Background

C Y Ho is a Consultant of Yingke Law Firm Limited in London and an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer.

Prior to returning to private practice, Mr. Ho was stationed in Beijing and was the head of the Legal Department of one of the largest developers and owners of property in the PRC developing, leasing out and managing 800,000 square meters of shopping malls, office blocks, hotel and serviced apartments at a prime location in Beijing. 

In addition to being a solicitor in England, Mr. Ho was also admitted as a Hong Kong solicitor and conferred the lawyer qualification in China. He obtained a Degree of Bachelor of Social Science from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and later a degree of Bachelor of Laws from both the University of London and then Beijing University respectively, and a Master of Laws degree from Zhongshan University (Sun Yat-sen University), PRC.  Mr. Ho speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Areas of Practice

Mr. Ho’s practice is focused on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, corporate finance and UK, Hong Kong and PRC corporate and commercial matters. 

In his corporate and commercial practice, Mr. Ho advises clients on a broad range of corporate transactions in the UK, the PRC and Hong Kong including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, sales and purchases of shares/ businesses and assets, joint ventures, other corporate restructurings and corporate finance. In particular, he often advises clients in structuring complicated transactions that have the PRC, UK and Hong Kong elements. Whilst he represents foreign and Hong Kong clients with the establishment of, and ongoing, business operations, and divestments in Greater China Region, with the acceleration of the PRC’s strategy “Go Out Policy”, Mr. Ho also assists PRC clients with their investments and businesses in the UK, Hong Kong and foreign countries through brand new establishments, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures or otherwise. 

Mr. Ho was admitted as a solicitor of the High Court of Hong Kong in 2003 and conferred the PRC’s lawyer qualification in 2012. Mr. Ho was also appointed as China-appointed Attesting Officer in 2018 in Hong Kong and Notary Public in 2020 in Hong Kong respectively. Mr. Ho was also admitted as a solicitor in England in 2023.

何忠賢律師為我行的顧問律師，他亦是一名富經驗的公司法及商業法律師。

在回到私人執業之前，何律師長駐在北京，在其中一家中國最大並位處北京黃金地段的物業開發企業暨業主的法律部，出任該部門的主管，協助該企業開發、出租和管理過800,000平方米的商場、辦公樓、酒店和服務式公寓。

除作為一名英格蘭律師外，何律師同時是一名香港律師，並取得了中國的律師資格。他取得香港中文大學的社會科學學士學位；其後，他分別從倫敦大學和北京大學取得法學學士學位，及從中國內地的中山大學取得法學碩士學位。

何律師專注于跨境的合併和收購、企業重組、企業融資、英國、中國內地和香港的公司和商業法。

何律師在公司和商業法業務中，就眾多在英國、中港發生的公司交易為客戶提供意見，包括跨境的合併收購、買賣股份/業務和資產、合營、其它的公司重組及企業融資。其中，何律師經常就同時涉及跨中英港元素的複雜交易，向客戶提出解決方案和提供意見。他一方面代表外國和香港當事人，協助他們在大中華區設立業務、持續的業務經營、收回投資等；同時，由於中國內地加快企業“走出去”的速度，何律師亦會協助中國內地當事人，通過新設業務、合併和收購、合營或其它方法，在英國、香港和外國進行投資和開展業務。

何律師于2003年，獲得香港高等法院的執業律師資格；在2012年，獲得中國的執業律師資格；在2018年，成為在香港的中國委托公証人；在2020年，成為在香港的國際公証人(Notary Public) ;並在2023年，成為英格蘭的執業律師。
